Who We Are

Rilee Cormier’s passion for dance began at the age of four and has only grown stronger throughout her years of training and performing. She has been dancing competitively for over a decade in styles including Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Tap, and Acro. Rilee spent three years as a competitive dancer at Flex Dance Company, where she further developed her technique and performance skills.

In addition to her competitive training, Rilee has studied the performing arts with Drayton Entertainment, helping her become a well-rounded and confident performer. She has attended numerous dance workshops and conventions, always seeking opportunities to grow as a dancer and learn from industry professionals.
​
Rilee has just completed her first year at Wilfrid Laurier University and is a proud member of the Laurier Competitive Dance Team, where she continues to train and perform at a high level. Over the past year, she also returned to Flex as a choreographer, teacher, and assistant to Miranda Durbin, bringing her experience and love for dance into the classroom.

Rilee is excited to continue her journey as part of the Flex faculty and is passionate about inspiring and encouraging the next generation of dancers.
RILEE CORMIER

Victoria Caccioppoli began dancing at the age of two in Kitchener Ontario. She is a very versatile dancer being trained in Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Hip-hop, Ballet. She started competitive dance at the age of 6 and throughout those years won numerous Awards & scholarships. Victoria has performed in many different shows in the Toronto area including Bazaar dance showdown, Choreographers Ball and Fever after dark and had the amazing opportunity to travel to Denmark for the World Hip-hop championships where she competed with Team Canada placing in the top 50 soloists. In 2017, Victoria was awarded the Title of Pulse Advanced Pro Elite Protege at Pulse Nationals in Las Vegas. With this title, She had the opportunity to travel around North America and assist an amazing lineup of faculty including Ian Eastwood, , Gil Duldulao, Dean Lee, Galen Hooks and more. She not only assisted these amazing choreographers but also learned the behind the scenes of what it’s like to run a dance convention. Her highlight of her dance career was being able to perform as a backup dancer with Janet Jackson at the Scotiabank arena for her Unbreakable world Tour in 2015. Victoria is excited to bring her knowledge and show her love of dance with the younger generation at Flex.
VICTORIA CACCIOPPOLI

Meghan began her dance training in Waterloo, Ontario at the age of 3. Throughout her years as a recreational and competitive dancer, she trained in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and pointe. She continued her education while attending workshops and conventions throughout North America.
Now as a professional in the dance industry, Meghan continues to take classes to further her skills and in turn be able to provide her dancers with the best possible education. She takes her role as an instructor and mentor seriously while still providing a fun and positive learning environment for students of all ages and capabilities.

RAINE KRUGER

Lexi Oliver’s passion and love for dance started at the age of three and has continuously grown since starting her competitive dance career at the age of six. Lexi spent the majority of her time as a competitive dancer at Innovative Dance training under the direction of Carolyn Bristow. Lexi studies all disciplines of dance including Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap and Acro.
During her years of competitive dance, Lexi contributed to many team and solo victories including the Senior Dance Canada Cup, View Final Hour Showdown Champions, the Shock Showdown Runner up and as a soloist won 10th runner up Senior Miss Dance Canada.
Lexi has attended many conventions and master classes to grow her knowledge in dance and learn from many of the industry's top choreographers and teachers. Lexi has worked alongside her directors and teachers as an assistant and has assisted with dance camps in the summer.
Recently, Lexi graduated high school and decided to take a gap year to further her education in dance. She is currently still a student at Flex Dance Company and her love and drive for dance has developed even more under Miranda Durbin’s training. Lexi is excited to be a part of the Flex faculty and be a positive role model for her students.

MIRANDA DURBIN
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
For over twenty years, Miranda Durbin has excelled at all forms of dance. Her inter-disciplinary expertise makes her a sought after choreographer, teacher & adjudicator. Miranda spends her summers travelling across the United States setting countless pieces for the competitive year ahead and teaching workshops to students of all ages. Her innovative, award-winning choreography is recognized on National and International stages. Her dancers have achieved acclaim and titles across the continent. She is a certified member of the Professional Adjudicator’s Alliance.

No stranger to the stage, Miranda has performed at Walt Disney World in Florida, Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and has appeared on the hit CBC TV show “Degrassi: The Next Generation”. Recently, she has danced in professional shows and has been cast in a music video for Toronto based singer Francesco Yates. Miranda is well acquainted with the competitive stage, having won many titles, scholarships and overall awards throughout her competitive career.
Miranda’s deep love of dance sees her regularly travelling to Los Angeles to take classes at Millennium Dance Center and the Edge Performing Arts Center, as well as to New York City to train at Broadway Dance Center. She has assisted many Master choreographers which has helped her become a well rounded and versatile teacher in many genres. By continuing to educate herself, Miranda takes pride in staying current and creative in her ability to train dancers to be the best version of themselves.

Whether leading master classes of hundreds of dancers or individually focusing with a soloist, Miranda’s pedagogic skills are invaluable to competitive and recreational dancers alike!
